Core Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Direct projects valued at up to $10 million, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Project Planning: Lead the development of business cases, cost assessments, and execution strategies.
- Goals and Objectives: Clearly articulate project aims and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Integration and Implementation: Formulate and oversee project plans, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, timeline, and budget standards.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk evaluations and devise mitigation strategies.
- Team Management: Assemble and lead project teams, ensuring roles and responsibilities are well-defined.
- Operational Supervision: Manage daily project activities, review outputs, and uphold best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for both internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess project outcomes and deliver regular reports on financial and scheduling metrics.
- Continuous Development: Facilitate post-project reviews to enhance future project execution.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in project management within industrial plant settings, engineering, or construction management, specifically in heavy industry manufacturing.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required.
Skills: Proficient project management capabilities, with a solid understanding of safety protocols, engineering principles, cost management, and scheduling. Excellent written communication, contract negotiation, and leadership skills are essential.
Technical Proficiencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and the ability to manage projects in a holistic manner.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, engineering standards, cost estimation, and performance evaluation metrics.
- Competence in drafting reports, managing project correspondence, and overseeing contracts.
- Understanding of revenue models, profit and loss statements, and project completion forecasts.
- Expertise in budget management and facilitating team discussions.
Physical Demands
- Capability to wear full personal protective equipment, including fire-resistant clothing, hard hats, steel-toed boots, gloves, and eye protection.
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
- Regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk long distances.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights with appropriate fall protection.
- Capacity to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Good depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus are necessary.
