Project Accountant Job Summary The Project Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and profitability of construction projects by maintaining accurate records, monitoring costs, and providing financial analysis and reporting. As such, they are also responsible for coordinating and managing the preconstruction activities of construction projects. They work closely with the sales and estimating team to ensure that potential projects are documented, tracked and that proposals are submitted in a complete and timely manner. Must pass background check/drug screen Proficiency in accounting software, Construction Management software (Procore), and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of construction accounting principles and job costing methods. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Familiarity with construction contracts and relevant regulations. Able and willing to learn the electrical construction industry, terminology, and parts. Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient individual able to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Doesn’t waste time on low priority tasks. Not prone to idle time. A job requires an individual who is a self-starter. One who does not wait for assignments but seeks out what needs to be accomplished. Provide outstanding customer service internally to our fellow employees, vendors, and customers.
