Responsibilities:

The Senior Accountant responsibilities include a strong emphasis on maintaining accurate accounting records pertaining to hospital accounts receivable and revenue for the completion of monthly/yearly hospital as well as consolidated financial statements. The candidate must have the ability to analyze data from multiple sources and capable of examining and analyzing the data to seek out discrepancies and AR trends. Must have experience reconciling AR software to the General Ledger system.

  • Helps to prepare monthly journal voucher entries and financial statements for the Network.
  • Reconciliations of general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers (AR & AP) including cash management.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with year-end audit preparations.
  • Other duties as related.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in accounting
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of education

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years related experience in healthcare

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting
    most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met
  • Occasional stooping, talking, walking
  • Constant typing/clerical/dexterity, hearing, repetitive motion, seeing/monitor/computer use
