**POSITION SUMMARY:**

The Inventory Control Coordinator maintains organizational channels of communication regarding inventory issues and works closely with Warehouse Operations, Internal Operations, Process Compliance and Account Managers. This position will play an integral role in preparing and processing physical inventory and routine cycle counts throughout the country.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Oversees and conducts physical inventories and monthly cycle counts

* Routinely inspects inventory for damage or shrinkage and report results to management

* Prepares detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and for inventory adjustments

* Performs daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems

* Establishes safety stock levels to buffer against supply / demand variation

* Identifies, tracks and proposes solutions to root cause counter measures of inventory errors, adjustments and/or cycle count variances

* Trains other shipping and receiving departmental employees on cycle counting and inventory control processes.

* Audits daily processes to ensure inventory is received accurately receives inventory in SWIMS and advises management regarding SOP modifications as needed

* Coordinates cycle count operations and physical inventory activities

* Communicates with operations on any inventory and/or packaging shortages as well as working to resolve issues

* Assists with other supply chain analysis, initiatives, and projects as needed

* Performs inventory analysis weekly for slow-moving inventory, obsolete material, inventory imbalances, inventory cost reduction opportunities, and drive for resolutions

* Assists the Onboarding Team and Continuous Improvement Teams.

* Operates material handling equipment, including potential use of forklifts or other equipment with appropriate training

* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Creates and distributes action plans

* Conducts time studies to evaluate operational efficiency

* Gathers data, creates reports and makes recommendations to the Director of Operations

**THE PERSON | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**

* Education: HS Diploma or Equivalent

* Minimum 1 year inventory control experience required

* Ability to maintain status on multiple projects

* Prior experience in logistics/distribution/warehousing/manufacturing environments preferred

* Experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel), web navigation & basic hardware

* Up to 75% travel across the US

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to see, hear, talk, write, read, stand, walk, bend over, and be alert at all times. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The typical work environment will require visiting warehouse locations in which employee may need to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, drive (vehicle), stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. This position will also require frequent travel by plane, car and/or other forms of transportation.
