Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for managing and recording the physical inventory within the Henderson facility, encompassing both raw materials and finished goods. This role involves creating and implementing processes and SOPs to maintain accurate inventory, conducting periodic cycle counts, and auditing procedures that impact inventory accuracy. The supervisor is also tasked with training associates in inventory-related activities, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that inventory systems (NetSuite and WMS) remain synchronized. Accurate inventory is critical for informed business decisions, particularly in purchasing and replenishment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Review and analyze inventory reports, investigating any discrepancies or questionable items.
· Ensure synchronization between NetSuite and WMS systems, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
· Develop and implement a cycle count program, ensuring each item is counted 2-3 times annually, with more frequent counts for fast-moving items.
· Train employees on scanning functions and other procedures that impact inventory accuracy.
· Prepare the facility for the annual physical inventory, with a goal of replacing it through regular cycle counts.
· Perform inventory adjustments in WMS, documenting the reason or cause and ensuring the adjustment is reflected by the accounting team in NetSuite if necessary.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma required; GED or equivalent qualification preferred.
· 2-5 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, and inventory control.
· Forklift or pallet jack license preferred.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Some college coursework in a related field is desired.
· 2-5 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or inventory control preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the facility.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Manual dexterity for operating machinery and handling inventory.
· Visual acuity to read and analyze inventory reports and system data.
