POSITION SUMMARY:

Workwith the Assistant Vice President of Engineering &Architecture to facilitate and manage the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority's (AviationAuthority) engineering/architecture, and development projects, and programsfrom inception through final design, bid and award, and provide oversightthrough construction and closeout.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor'sdegree related to architecture, building construction, construction managementdisciplines and six (6) years of aviation related work experience for aconsulting firm, a construction company, a public agency, or an airportauthority in managing the design and construction of small and large scaleprojects or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and workexperience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills required.
  • Proficient in use of computers.
  • Knowledge of architecture and construction means and methods, and management principles.
  • Knowledge of design, estimating, project and program scheduling.
  • Efficient time management methods.
  • Knowledge of the following areas: Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD); Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Building Information Modeling (BIM.).
  • Must be able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules, including weekends to accommodate airport operations.
  • ValidFlorida driver's license.
  • Professional Engineer, Architect, or General Contractor License is desirable.
  • Certification in a specialty subject area that may benefit the Aviation Authority is desirable.
**This position requires permanent residency in the United States. Only candidates who are permanently legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship or Temporary Protected Status (TPS)will be considered**
