Job Summary:
Reporting to the Radiation Oncology Clinical Services Operations Manager, the Sr Front Office Coordinator is responsible for a variety of administrative duties in support of daily patient services within the assigned Radiation Oncology office. This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, oversees all aspects of patient intake, registration, and insurance verification, and serves as a key liaison for TOI providers, nurses, therapists, and care team staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure smooth office operations which support effective communication, collaboration, teamwork and generate a positive experience for TOI patients and their families.
Greet patients and coordinate check-ins and check-outs in a professional and courteous manner.
Monitor intakes and referrals. Schedule follow up and new patient intake information.
Scan medical records into patients’ charts.
Serve as a liaison between patients, their families, and Radiation Oncology care team.
Responsible for primary phone coverage including taking and distributing messages.
Lead all aspects of registration, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
Obtain authorizations and pre-certifications for all required patient services.
Responsible for collecting co-payments and processing daily/weekly batching of deposits.
Track patient treatment billing and relays information to appropriate central ops teams
Maintain appropriate and efficient levels of medical and office supplies. Ensure patient waiting area is clean, organized, and creates a seamless patient experience.
Clearly communicate and monitor new processes throughout the clinic.
Provide input into the recruitment and hiring process for new teammates.
Assist with operational projects or other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Minimum three (3) years related experience in a radiation oncology or comparable setting.
Minimum one (1) year experience submitting authorizations and pre-certifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated working knowledge of medical terminology.
