Project Engineer

Location: Orlando, FL

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to lead all technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects in support of a large Naval Simulation program. This role requires coordinating multi-disciplined engineering teams and interfacing with Program Managers, customers, and various internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and delivered on time.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical proposal development and manage engineering activities across training device programs.
  • Oversee the technical specifications, design, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact during project execution and customer acceptance phases.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the project team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
  • At least 7 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in developing complex hardware/software systems.
  • 3+ years as a Project Engineer, preferably in the maritime simulator industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams, particularly in a matrix environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Travel: Occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required.

This role offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking Naval simulation projects, providing key technical leadership and innovation. The position demands a dynamic leader capable of managing stringent technical requirements and achieving high standards of quality and efficiency.
