Job Summary

Luminar, a leading global automotive technology company, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to lead projects through all engineering phases of the product lifecycle. This role oversees cross-functional technical engagement within Luminar and ensures successful customer development and value delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Work cross-functionally to translate program requirements and milestones into detailed execution plans for engineering functional teams.
  • Team Leadership: Drive execution to these plans, conduct team meetings, communicate status, and identify/resolve blocking issues.
  • Technical Collaboration: Engage with other TPMs in all technical aspects of development.
  • Customer Alignment: Work directly with OEMs to align on product requirements, performance, and integration of the sensor platform to the OEM environment.
  • Risk Management: Escalate risks and issues promptly and drive them to closure.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively coordinate across functional groups to manage dependencies between Hardware, Software, and suppliers.
  • Engineering Alignment: Oversee engineering alignment within Luminar's product development process.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and disseminate project status reports, including KPIs.
  • Launch Support: Work closely with NPI teams to support and handoff for SAFE Launch and SOP (start-of-production).
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor or Master's Degree in an Engineering or Technical related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of technical project/program management experience in the Automotive space.
  • Skills: Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as MS Project, Confluence, Jira, and ERP tools like Arena.
  • Additional Requirements: Experience defining release readiness criteria, ensuring all changes comply before deployment.
  • Teamwork: Able to work successfully with cross-functional and geographical distributed teams.
