You provide exemplary customer service to those inquiring about and using the Veterinary Center. Pay Rate: $18/hourBenefits (see additional benefits below):Comprehensive benefits package15 days of Paid Time Off in your first year4 floating holidays per full calendar year401k Retirement PlanSchedule: Full-time; 40 hours/weekFive 8-hour shifts per weekShift times are Tuesday-Saturday between 7:30a-5pLocation: Primarily St. Paul, MN with occasional shifts at Golden Valley, MNInterview Process: 30 minute virtual interview followed by a virtual department meet & greetWhat you will be doing: Customer Service - Assist clients in a positive and professional manner. Communicate with clients in person and via phone and email. Prepare and ensure proper paperwork and consent forms are completed prior to services and provide discharge paperwork and after-care instructions after appointments. Process - Obtain, record, and communicate complete and accurate pet health information. Coordinate clinic and wellness schedules. Provide accurate and efficient preparation and processing of client and patient paperwork. Communicate customer concerns, maintenance, or supply needs to direct supervisor. Make reminder, follow-up, and no-show calls for surgical patients.Support - Assist veterinary staff with intake and discharge. Ensure the lobby is kept organized and clean.Culture - Foster an open and inclusive work environment by modeling AHS's behaviors and values, consistent with the vision and mission of the organization. Champion a culture of safety and promote meaningful volunteer engagement.Other duties as assignedRequirementsSchedule - Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operational hours as defined by leadership with the expectation to work varied hours including weekend shifts.Experience - Customer service experience preferred.Computer Skills - Proficient with computers, specifically, a working knowledge of Microsoft products.Adaptability - Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations and the willingness to assist. Communication - Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, must have ability to work as a team member and partner collaboratively with external and internal customers and departments.Physical & Emotional Capabilities - Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in a clinic and animal shelter environment, including the use of euthanasia.
