RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze project blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates for large-diameter underground construction projects.
  • Analyze subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements and scope.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Evaluate project risks and opportunities to provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, budgets, and cost data.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Construction, Heavy Highway Construction or Water Treatment Plant Construction / Operations.
  • Proven experience as an estimator in underground construction or related field.
  • Proficiency in Estimating Software packages and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
