Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Financial Data Monitoring & Analysis: Routinely monitor and analyze financial data to support assigned programs and projects.
  • Program Spending & Cost Analysis: Analyze activities such as program spending, cost analysis, invoicing and collections, forecasting, and other tasks related to contracts and programs.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Utilize Deltek Costpoint accounting system, TM1 financial reporting system, and other proprietary management tools to run reports and analyze data.
  • Contract Fund Monitoring: Monitor expenditures of contract funds in accordance with contract terms through the creation and maintenance of direct project spend plans.
  • Program Management Support: Assist Program Managers and Project Leads in cost management, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Cross-functional Interfacing: Interface with Accounting, Finance, Contracts, Program Management, and Senior Leaders to ensure accurate forecasting, invoicing, accruals, and contract analysis information.
  • Proposal Verification: Provide verification of proposal pricing and profitability analysis.
  • Status Reporting: Prepare status reports of Orders, Sales, Income, Funds Flow, etc., as well as charts for performance analysis and reporting.
Financial Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting/related.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience.
  • Experience with financial planning & reporting, as well as familiarity with both accounting and financial reporting software packages.
  • Experience in the administration of U.S. Government contracts preferred.
  • Costpoint/TM1 knowledge = major plus.
