As part of the Nebraska Lottery’s marketing team, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for representing the Nebraska Lottery at sponsored events throughout the state of Nebraska, completing event contracts, and promoting the Lottery Brand. As a Marketing Specialist, you will be expected to build a dynamic and memorable experience for players by generating strong customer engagement and using a proactive approach to promoting and selling Lottery products. Responsibilities

Build the Lottery brand by selling the Lottery product at sponsored events, seasonal marketing campaigns, store openings, product demonstrations, and other marketing events Coordinate with sales, marketing, and event organizers to ensure marketing objectives and needs are being addressed through events Transport Lottery trailer to events, maintaining both the vehicles and inventory to ensure a clean, inviting, and relevant display at every event Set up equipment including terminals, communication network, and premiums at events Work throughout events and supervise NE Lottery Brand Ambassadors Have a solid understanding of all Lottery products Keep and maintain an accurate inventory of Lottery products and supplies Coordinate with the Lottery’s Media and Events Manager regarding staffing support and other needs of each event Maintain a clean driving record and follow required vehicle maintenance and reporting requirements Participate in regular team meetings or conference calls with the Events Team to review recent event outcomes and prepare for upcoming events Other duties/projects as needed during the slower season Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing, and making bank deposits Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing/Communications/Public Relations/Advertising/Business preferred 1+ year of marketing experience in event management and/or hospitality services preferred Valid driver’s license, clean and safe driving record, trailer towing experience preferred but not required Must pass DOT physical and drug testing Must be cheerful, outgoing, and able to speak comfortably to players Basic computer skills Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance Keys to Success
