Mountain Alarm Fire and Security is hiring Operations Assistant in our Reno, Nevada location.

Position Summary:

The Operations Assistant is responsible for receiving, issuing, and returning parts. They are also responsible for ensuring that the warehouse counts are accurate. This position will work directly with the Operations Manager, technicians, sales team and our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Preparing service tickets and jobs with appropriate parts.
  • Assist with the daily activities and scheduling of installation technicians to maximize efficiency and utilization of resources.
  • Interface with sales, field personnel, and branch management to ensure smooth coordination of project scheduling, progress, and deadlines through completion.
  • Coordinate and assist in development of project change orders.
  • Accurately receive and issue parts and inventory; maintain an accurate count of branch inventory.
  • Assist with training of branch employees and technicians on proper procedures for locating and utilizing inventory.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment on site.
  • Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management.
  • Have excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Dress in appropriate attire.
  • Receive parts from vendors.
  • Return parts to vendors.
  • Maintain inventory count.
  • Act in a professional manner.
Education & Required Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment, successfully handling multiple tasks and projects.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must read and speak English
  • Strong Time Management Skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, a self-starter, personable and well organized
  • Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
Experience:
  • Prior inventory experience a plus but not required.
  • Prior experience working in the fire or security alarm industry a plus, but not required.
