In this role, you will be problem solving, leading, and driving improvements in our advanced molding processes supporting the transportation solutions division. The successful candidate will have effective communication skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize, and be a solutions-driven individual who is energized to solve problems and actively pursue what is needed. What You Will Do Investigate and lead teams to address customer complaints Work with customers & internal teams to address concerns Utilize problem solving tools & 8D/A3 Methodologies to document investigations Drive changes & improvements to processes to mitigate future customer complaints Improve processes & procedures to eliminate waste Analyze trends in cost of poor quality & defect types to identify projects to reduce cost & mitigate risk Utilize a structured approach to problem solving & project management Support best in class product development & PPAP Work with launch teams on best practices to deploy a successful product Provide guidance in the development and analysis of inspection requirements, gaging criteria, SAP requirements, product processing techniques & methodologies. Document product launch by use of PPAP & qualification plans Help write and revise work instructions & procedures Ensure that FMEA, control plan, and process flow documentation are effectively deployed in production and that requirements are periodically reviewed for all processes. Who You Are Availability for 5-25% Travel Domestically and Internationally Associates degree or higher in a technical field - or equivalent experience, training, and/or certification. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality-related field What Will Put You Ahead Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, STEM, or management field. Advanced degree or certification. Training or experience in high-speed automated manufacturing. Certification standards and auditing. Experience with injection molded plastics.
