Position Summary
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for spearheading enhancements to the Advanced Quality Management System and driving design and process improvements to fulfill internal objectives and surpass external customer expectations. This role requires both independent and collaborative work under the mentorship of the Quality Site Lead, Quality Manager, or Director of Quality.

Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate the development and introduction of new products by proactively leading product quality planning initiatives.
2. Collaborate with Value Stream managers and manufacturing teams to promptly address intricate quality challenges utilizing advanced problem-solving methodologies.
3. Take charge of executing preventive and corrective actions for both internal and external customer concerns, employing sophisticated engineering judgment and advanced root cause analysis techniques.
4. Ensure the ongoing effectiveness of preventive and corrective measures through thorough verification and validation processes.
5. Lead comprehensive process capability assessments and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R) studies.
6. Serve as the primary representative on the Material Review Board, providing expert assessments of nonconforming components and recommending effective resolutions.
7. Develop and implement robust, risk-based control plans throughout all production phases.
8. Conduct detailed internal audits of the Management System and processes to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards.
9. Assess and enhance the capability and performance of both new and existing suppliers through comprehensive on-site evaluations.
10. Proactively engage with customers and suppliers to manage and resolve quality-related issues, fostering continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
Certifications: ASQ Quality Engineer certification (CQE) is preferred, along with other certifications such as ASQ Quality Manager (CMQ/OE), Lean, lead auditor (ISO 9001, TS 16949, 14001, etc.), and Six Sigma Black/Green Belt.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required, with proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and familiarity with Material Review Board (MRB) processes preferred.

4. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other statistical analysis tools.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, lift and carry weights up to 40 lbs occasionally, and work with both hands and feet regularly.

Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally, is essential.
