Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess disability claims for accuracy and completeness.
  • Gather and evaluate medical records, documentation, and other relevant information.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations to determine the extent of disability.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, and legal representatives to obtain all necessary information.
  • Analyze policy details and applicable laws to make fair judgments on claims.
  • Determine coverage eligibility and benefit amounts in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Interpret medical terminology and diagnoses to make informed claim decisions.
  • Communicate decisions and rationale effectively to claimants, policyholders, and stakeholders.
  • Manage a caseload of disability claims and ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and optimize claim outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a disability adjuster or in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of disability policies and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport with claimants.
  • Proficient in medical terminology and understanding medical records.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable and able to work independently as well as a part of a team.
  • Proficient in using relevant computer software and technology to handle claims efficiently.

The pay range for the role is $54,000 to $86,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.

ESIS, a multi-line Third-Party Administrator (TPA), provides claims, risk control & loss information systems to Fortune 1000 clients across its North American platform. ESIS provides a full range of sophisticated risk management services, including workers compensation claims handling; a broad spectrum of casualty insurance products, such as general liability, automobile liability, products liability, professional liability, and medical malpractice claims handling; and disability management.

ESIS Specialty continually monitors, measures, and analyzes trends while working closely with clients to identify opportunities to positively impact their program costs. ESIS Specialty applies a balanced approach to claims handling and management and continually refines approach to be sure services are customized, complementary and complete.
