Position Overview

This role represents the advanced tier within our Fitness Team. Candidates must possess a valid First Aid certificate along with the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Fitness Instructor Certification.
  • Level 3 Personal Training Certification.
  • Exercise to Music and/or Qualified Yoga Teacher/Instructor - RYT 200-hour.

Additionally, candidates should be certified in at least ONE of the following areas:

  • Qualified Pilates Instructor
  • Qualified Yoga Teacher/Instructor - RYT 200-hour
  • Level 2 Indoor Cycling Instructor
  • Les Mills Bodypump Instructor
  • Qualified Suspension Exercise Trainer
  • Qualified Aqua Aerobics Instructor
  • Qualified Zumba Instructor

About the Role

At Neilson, our fitness professionals are essential to creating memorable holiday experiences. As a Senior Fitness Coach, you will be enthusiastic about fitness, approachable, and capable of working autonomously. You will have experience leading group sessions and maintaining a high level of personal fitness, regularly guiding runs and conducting multiple classes each day.

Situated in one of our stunning beach resorts, you will deliver a diverse weekly fitness program that is safe, enjoyable, and tailored to meet the needs of our guests.

Your role will involve engaging with individuals from various backgrounds and fitness levels, allowing you to motivate and broaden your personal fitness expertise.

You will design your sessions based on the facilities and equipment available at the resort, utilizing your skills, knowledge, and training.

We offer extensive support and training. If you are eager to learn and take on challenges, you will also gain experience in teaching various disciplines, including:

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional fitness coaching aligned with the Neilson program.
  • Prepare engaging sessions suitable for adults and children based on their experience and abilities.
  • Develop lesson plans that include warm-ups and cool-downs.
  • Conduct a program that includes group classes and personal training sessions.
  • Demonstrate effective techniques accommodating various fitness levels.
  • Promote the fitness program to enhance participation.
  • Monitor and maintain fitness supplies, ensuring they are well-stocked.
  • Assist in training new instructors to deliver the Neilson fitness program effectively.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of health and safety.
  • Advise guests on the safe use of all fitness equipment.
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance and security of all fitness equipment.
  • Ensure the fitness areas meet guest expectations.
  • Organize and host social events and briefings.
  • Be adaptable and willing to assist in various duties as required.

  • Be flexible in working hours to meet operational needs.
  • Deliver engaging, safe, and informative instruction.
