Wound Clinic Supervisor

Schedule: Full-time, weekday hours
The Wound Clinic Supervisor provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the wound care providers. For direct patient care, the position will provide and support all the necessary functions to successfully move a patient through their wound care encounter. Such functions include but are not limited to serving as a Case Manager to a group of assigned Wound Clinic patients, providing patient assessment, patient care and patient care planning and implementation. The position will also handle intake and discharge processes for the Wound Clinic patients as scheduled. For indirect patient care, the Wound Clinic Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of clinical support activities of the Wound Clinic.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse, BSN preferred, currently licensed to practice in the state of Iowa
- Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in acute care setting (Surgery, Med Surg) preferred
- Prior Wound Care Clinic RN experience is preferred
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Child and Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter Training
- Current certification in tri-specialty (WOCN) by the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board, preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
