Business Development Representative

We are seeking anaccomplished and strategic Business Development Representative to spearhead ourefforts in acquiring new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will beresponsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our client base anddrive revenue growth through the development and acquisition of new clients.The candidate will work closely with the CEO and report directly to her. Theideal candidate will reside in the Portland or Seattle metropolitan area.

Responsibilities Strategic Planning for New Client Acquisition: Develop and implement astrategy focused on acquiring new clients in alignment with the company'sgrowth objectives and vision. Identify and prioritizetarget industries, market segments, and potential clients, in alignment withcompany’s vision. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Lead efforts inprospecting and identifying new business opportunities through industryresearch and analysis. Develop and nurturerelationships with key stakeholders to generate leads and establish the companyas a preferred partner. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Oversee the end-to-endclient acquisition process, from initial contact to contract negotiation andclosure. Build and maintain strongrelationships with new clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internalteams to ensure a seamless client acquisition process. Communicate effectivelywith CEO, providing regular updates on new client development initiatives. Coordinate, strategizeand communicate with Account Executives to maintain a pulse on client accounts,ensure employee satisfaction, and stay aware of the client’s account from theperspective of our employees placed with client. Coordinate andcommunicate with recruiting team regarding client’s account needs, client’sculture, etc. to provide for the best client and consultant match. Performance Analysis and Reporting: In collaboration withCEO, establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for new client development andregularly assess and report on the success of acquisition strategies. Document contacts, leads,and wins. Participate in internalmeetings to report sales activity. Other: Exemplify SBS values andcommunicate values to SBS clients through his/her actions. Be familiar with, andable to leverage and communicate, SBS’s practices to solve client problems. Be a relationship builder,excellent communicator, and strong team member. Requirements

Experience in the Utility industry is stronglypreferred.

The ideal candidate will haveworked with electric and/or gas utilities and have proven long-standingrelationships within the industry. Proven experience in a role focused on acquiring new business/clients. Strong understanding of market dynamics, industrytrends, and customer behavior in relation to client acquisition. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, andinterpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successfulclient acquisition strategies. Willingness to travel toclient locations. Must have theirown vehicle and be able to drive to client locations or meeting spots. Some ofthe work is performed in a home office environment and requires long periods ofsitting and the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Successful applicantsmust be willing to submit to a background check, have a licensed business, andcarry liability insurance.
