Job Description

The primary role of the Infrastructure Manager is to manage and improve the organization's virtual server, environment, corporate network infrastructure, and Microsoft Azure and O365 cloud services. In addition, the infrastructure manager will build standards, procedures, and make strategic recommendations for the company for the purposes of budget planning and long-term decision making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology and excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Direct Reports: None

Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the Infrastructure Manager's responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.
  • Manage the organization's server (physical and virtual), SAN, and network infrastructure ensuring optimal performance, reliability and security in a hybrid-cloud environment.
  • Manage Microsoft M365, SharePoint, Teams platforms including user access, permissions and integrations.
  • Manage and maintain organizational disaster recovery plan and ensure reliability of backup systems for servers, M365 environment and network infrastructure.
  • Design and recommend solutions, investments, operating and capital expenses (budget) for infrastructure-related hardware and software to improve and maintain the corporate infrastructure.
  • Maintain, develop and implement IT policies, procedures, documentation and work instructions related to all duties and responsibilities.
  • Evaluate software solutions for accuracy, business impact, and best fit for the organization.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining the organization's digital security.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff.
  • Perform other work as assigned including assisting others or providing backup for other team members, as needed.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining and managing a corporate IT environment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of virtual servers (VMWare), SANs, and networking.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Group Policy.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell and Office 365 Administration
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with AutoPilot, Intune, and Defender is desired.
