Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled, organized procurement specialist to join our growing company. In this position, you will manage the company's supply of products, materials, and/or services. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must. This position reports into the Head of Procurement.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Tactical Procurement
Collect requirements from internal stakeholders
Prepare, launch, and manage tenders (RFXs)
Analyze the market and identify sourcing alternatives that bring saving opportunities
Negotiate commercial conditions
Manage contractual negotiations with vendors and ensure all appropriate departments review and approve contractual terms
Comply with scorecard measurement system to track values
Organize and schedule Procurement tasks in a timely manner
Review and approve purchase requests and purchase orders
Manage the signature process of provider contracts
Manage vendors through performance reviews and communication
Strategic Procurement and Policy
Monitor and analyze order expenses using our P2P solution iValua
Propose Procurement strategies to optimize costs
Recommend processes or systems improvements
Implement new ideas and strategies
Build performance reports and communicate to management
Monitor our vendor database and ensure compliance with regulations and internal processes (1099, OFAC, ESG ratings, …)
Archive, maintain, and monitor vendors' contracts in our Procurement system (iValua)
Ensure Group and local Procurement processes and rules are known and followed
Administrative Support and Coordination
Act as a liaison to other departments, communicating Procurement policies and procedures
Provide support and training to iValua users and coordinate with the iValua support team in Europe when necessary
Participate in meetings, special projects, and perform other duties as assigned
Coordinate with Group Procurement in France and Italy and communicate and report project performance according to Group Procurement policies
Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences, and Skills:
3+ years of previous experience as a Procurement specialist (buyer)
Strong knowledge of Procurement activity including the management of RFPs, contractual reviews, negotiation strategies, and procedures. Knowledge of iValua or another electronic Procurement tool is appreciated
Solid analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interact and convince senior management and manage complex sourcing projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment with changing priorities
Solid interpersonal, team, and customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, organize, meet deadlines in time-sensitive circumstances
Must possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work
Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
Bachelor's degree in procurement, business, finance, or related field preferred
Pay Range: $85-95k
Where you’ll be doing it.
This is a hybrid role based out of our
San Diego, CA
office. As a hybrid role, you will be working onsite 2-3 days a week and working from home 2-3 days a week.
When you’ll be doing it.
While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.
