PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responds to employee questions regarding company policies, procedures and work-related problems
  • Exercises judgment in providing pertinent information and assistance to authorized company personnel
  • Refers requests and issues to more senior Human Resources personnel as appropriate
  • Maintains and distributes current employee information, policy and procedure manuals, organization charts and other communications
  • Maintains employee databases and compiles personnel statistics/reports as required
  • Prepares complex charts, forms and presentations using a variety of software packages
  • Counsels employees regarding benefit eligibility and coverage
  • Conducts new employee orientation and exit interviews
  • Makes recommendations to HR Manager for benefit additions and changes
  • Assists in preparation and presentation of unemployment claims
  • Administers salary changes and counsels managers when necessary
  • Reviews pay, classification, and grade changes for conformance with policy
  • Writes job descriptions
  • Counsels managers on Affirmative Action Requirements
  • Recruits, screens, and interviews job applicants, matching experience with job-related requirements, to fill entry level, professional, and technical job openings
  • May provide technical guidance to lower level employees
