Nurture the employee experience by acting as the first point of contact for employee needs, questions, and issues throughout the employee lifecycle Foster employee engagement via formal and informal channels. Serve as a voice for employees, ensuring their concerns and suggestions are heard and addressed appropriately in alignment with business needs. Act as a sounding board for people managers surrounding performance management, succession planning, goal setting, training and development. Champion Groombuggy's values (Resilience, Company First, Safety & Respect, Positive Energy) in every interaction to build trust across all levels of the organization Partner with senior leaders on crafting performance management mechanisms, including formal performance review structure and cadence, 360 reviews, continuous feedback, recognition and rewards and more. Facilitate benefits administration - act as the internal expert in all things company sponsored benefits Maintain a library of employment documentation including offer letters, job descriptions, employee relations forms, termination documentation + more Expertly translate policies and procedures to the team in a way that facilitates buy-in and mutual understanding. Recommend policy updates based on your vantage point of how policies are being interpreted, utilized, and function within daily operations. Build out and own injury reporting processes, SOPs to navigate workers compensation claims and identify areas of opportunity to improve the safety of groomers and other employees in the field. Partner with operations team to ensure compliance with necessary workplace trainings and health & safety regulations Oversee the internal process for accommodation requests, ensuring requests are reviewed, responded to and executed (as appropriate) to 100% completion. Develop SOPS to standardize how accommodation requests are handled within the People team and broader organization. Drive the implementation of thoughtful strategies and practices designed to improve employee wellbeing. Conduct investigations into employee complaints, facilitate conflict resolution and identify areas of improvement to reduce tension Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance Success for this role is consistently delivering a best-in-class employee experience to our Groomers, Customer Support team and Operations team via Groombuggy's people programs that results in a happy, productive, ethical and values-driven workforce. Requirements

We're looking for someone with the following skills and characteristics: 10+ years of work experience 5+ years of experience in an HRBP, People Operations Manager or similar role supporting a predominately hourly, non-exempt workforce. SHRM or PHR certification highly preferred Demonstrated ability to support a high volume (100+) of employees without sacrificing the quality and timeliness of each communication. Bonus if you have experience at a growth-stage, rapidly scaling company. A deep working knowledge of labor laws at both a federal and state level, particularly in CA, CO and VA. A sky-high EQ - strong self-regulation when navigating challenging situations, ability to set and uphold boundaries, and an aptitude for understanding the underlying cause of people's actions and behaviors. You approach every employee interaction with a customer service mentality and find a real sense of joy in helping people. A thoughtful communicator that can tailor clear and concise communication to all levels and types of audiences across the organization. We are based in the San Francisco Bay Area. However this role can be done remotely anywhere. To start, we are targeting states we already have employees (California, Colorado, Utah, Virginia and North Carolina).
