Corporate EHS Coordinator

SCOPE & BASIC FUNCTION

: This position provides administrative support and functional expertise to the Corporate EHS Department for corporate-wide locations. Ensures compliance with EHS regulatory programs, production documentation, and other assigned tasks. This includes developing and maintaining web page, databases and the processes associated with the EHS programs as well as generating reports used to report status and to identify trends for continuous improvement. Additional EHS tasks will vary based on internal customer needs. This position directly supports compliance requirements under the scope of OSHA and EPA regulations and other relevant EHS guidelines (i.e. ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

: Provide administrative and risk assessment/reduction support to the Corporate EHS department. Includes document preparation for written program compliance including Safety Management Systems or Environmental Management Systems requirements, meeting scheduling, environmental disposal scheduling and other tasks as required. Maintain and manage MSDS Online database Corporate-wide. Develop and keep current all procedures related to SDS management. Maintain the training database for Corporate-wide for EHS training scheduling, tracking training and quizzes. Manage the yearly training matrixes across the corporate network, develop training content and deliver content to locations as assigned. Manage the Safety Incident Reporting system. Includes monitoring the incident dashboard and entering new near miss, observations and incident data into the database, circulation of investigation reports, assuring corrective actions have been completed and entered into the database and auditing the process to assure compliance. Support EHS activities for committees and other corporate-wide EHS programs and initiatives. Prepare written safety or environmental programs, standard operating procedures and job aids that meet regulatory compliance. Assist with auditing corporate-wide locations for gap analysis and improvement recommendations. Regular attendance and punctuality required

OTHER FUNCTIONS: Performs other duties as assigned by department manager.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER SKILLS

: Minimum, A.A. Degree, or equivalent with additional EHS experience/CSP or SMS certification. Preferred BS in EHS, Ind. Hygiene, or similar field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in support roles. Involvement in manufacturing operations is a plus. Ability to prioritize activity and manage time effectively. Must have the ability to plan, organize, and complete multiple priorities. Ability to self-lead work tasks to completion. Requires effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills Must have strong working knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Working knowledge of database management is a plus. Strong attention to detail. Able to handle sensitive information in a discreet, professional manner Positive attitude: ability to work positively with others.
