Bespoke details such as carpet designs informed by autumn leaves, and Canadian-stone performing as expressive accents. **About the Role** **** **Luxury Leisure Sales Manager**The Luxury Leisure Sales Manager will maximize total room nights and revenue potential for Park Hyatt Toronto across the Corporate- Consortia and transient leisure market segments with a focus on both retention and acquisition. Sales goals will be determined quarterly with the DOSM and Hyatt RVP based on the hotel's budget and forecasted projections. Hyatt PRIDE is the companys compensation and incentive program that is paid out quarterly with a year-end achievement status based on actualized revenues to goal achievement. The position will require a proactive approach to sales, with a need to be a dynamic sales leader someone who will positively impact the hotels business and clearly define our Park Hyatt brand in Toronto. Working in a team, the position will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing who will be supervising and managing your role day to day operations as well as supporting you to achieve our purpose. Competencies for a Sales Manager should be a fully competent individual with experience in luxury hotel sales. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms & suites, meeting space and other Park Hyatt services, managing accounts, conducting site inspections, travel for the position, strong ethic for setting business strategies and forward-thinking tactics. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals. Maintaining well-organized documentation and reports. Utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate. The Sales Manager will participate in sales meetings, events and other staff meetings. The Sales Manager also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff to be in close contact with the assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.
**Some of the responsibilities include:**
* Experience and ability to sell a luxury hotel experience
* Developing, implementing and monitoring the hotels sales strategy to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue targets in Rooms, Food and Beverage and all other revenue-generating departments
* Manage the hotel sales contacts and achievement of the hotel revenue plan
* Manage key sales accounts whilst developing strategies for pricing, inventory and sales revenue allocation
* Attend major travel, trade and corporate functions and conduct sales trips based on business priorities which may include travel on weekends and evening events
* Retention and acquisition of corporate business
* Building and maintaining strong client relations and developing accounts to increase market share across all revenue streams locally, nationally and internationally
* Maximizing yield potential for corporate business for the hotel
* Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Events to develop and implement strategies to maximize business levels
* Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
* Interacts with the operation team to ensure understanding of guest needs and in creating a working relationship within all areas of the operation
**Qualifications**
* University qualifications in Business, Hospitality or Sales and Marketing
* Minimum 2 years sales experience in a five-star hotel or, a similar fast-paced environment
* An engaged and results-driven achiever with strong influencing skills
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
* Proven sales experience with the ability to lead, guide and achieve personal rev goals
* Highly motivated, solutions-orientated self-starter with adaptable teamwork styles
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into profitable action
* Strategic orientation with the know-how to problem solve under pressure
* Ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of five-star grooming standards
* Refined verbal and written communication skills
* A minimum of 2 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred, with strong SMERF market segment exposure
* Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
* Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
* Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
