The Role

We are seeking a bright, experienced brand manager to support the US business, to be responsible for one of our top brands, Kaja Beauty (cosmetics) or I Dew Care (skincare). This role will be responsible for developing and overseeing all strategic marketing plans to grow retail and ecommerce sales through new launches, brand animations and retail marketing strategies. This role will partner directly with our brand development teams in Korea to bring new innovation to market. This role will oversee all brand touchpoints for their brand, including but not limited to, in-store (visual merchandising), influencer, social, PR, retail marketing, brand marketing, paid media, sampling, and ecommerce. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business & competitive analyses, budget management, and preparing presentations for management meetings. This is an individual contributor role with a huge opportunity to shape the success of one of our growing brands

Core Responsibilities

Market, Consumer & Product Innovation

  • Ensure the brand development teams in Korea have a clear understanding of the brands US customer profile
  • Leverage US trends, US market dynamics and US consumer insights to impact innovation roadmap, creative development and marketing strategy
  • Analyze market segments to determine need gaps in portfolio online and offline, key consumer targets and predict future trends
  • Partner with the Brand Development teams in Korea to ensure product concepts, formulas, copy, naming, packaging, etc are relevant for the US customer and competitive within the US market

Brand Marketing & Planning

  • Responsible for setting the brand vision, brand strategy and innovation roadmap for the US market for the next 3 years, in partnership with the General Manager and Head of Marketing in North America
  • Responsible for every aspect of how the brand is marketed and communicated to the US market
  • Responsible for driving US omnichannel sales growth through strategic marketing planning and execution
  • Develop, own and execute annual brand marketing plans to ensure your brand achieves its annual sales targets

Omnichannel Marketing

  • Responsible for strategy and execution for all brand touchpoints including public relations, retail marketing (including visual merchandising), brand marketing, sampling and paid media
  • Partner closely with Social Media Manager, Influencer Marketing Manager, and Ecommerce Director to execute social, influencer, and DTC/ecomm plans in line with brand strategy and objectives
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute brand/launch/retail activations outlined in the brand strategy and marketing plan
  • Responsible for omnichannel content creation & optimization for PDPs, paid media, email, and SMS
  • Responsible for in-store visual merchandising timelines and execution
  • Responsible for developing and executing the brand-level media plans
  • Work with our agencies (i.e. PR) for all consumer-led activations (i.e. eventing, press events, etc)

Management, Budget & Analysis

  • Ensure sales forecast accuracy, track and analyze COGs, and make pricing recommendations for new launches & price increases
  • Responsible for the monitoring, reconciliation, and review of your brands marketing budget; partner close with General Manager, Head of Marketing, and sales team to ensure we are hitting our P&L targets
  • Responsible for monthly forecasting and actualizing retail sales by retail sales channel
  • Responsible for on-going sell-out performance reporting & analysis, and using the analysis to inform go-forward brand marketing plans

Minimum Experience and Skills

  • Experience working in marketing within the beauty is strongly preferred (cosmetics and/or skincare)
  • Experience working with omnichannel retailers in a marketing function is strongly preferred
  • Experience working on visual merchandising strategy, planning and execution is strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience successfully guiding strategic marketing, branding, and product management within consumer goods businesses
  • Exceptional financial acumen required including proven successful experience with budgeting and P&L management
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across functional areas of the business enabling the successful achievement of initiatives across all brand categories
  • Proficiency in G-Suite, PowerPoint & Excel
  • BA degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Brand Management or other related field (MBA preferred)
