Our client is searching for a VP of Sales and Account Management. This is an integral hire for the organisation, and they require someone with a strong background & understanding in personal care contract manufacturing and with a proven ability to lead and guide teams and to close business.

Role
Our client are looking for a someone with a very strong understanding of personal care CDMO. The ideal candidate will be skilled at closing and have proven experience negotiating contracts, presenting to boards and ensuring a successful conversion of the pipeline. This role also requires someone with a proven ability to guide and lead teams.

Responsibilities:

Business Development and Sales Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, distribution channels, and market segments.
Lead the sales team in prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals with potential clients.

Negotiation and Contract Management:
Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with clients, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review contracts, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Board-Level Communication:
Present sales performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to the board of directors.
Provide regular updates on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry insights to inform decision-making.

Team Management and Development:
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Set clear performance goals, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development initiatives for sales staff.

Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, preferences, and long-term objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering personalized solutions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Market Analysis and Insights:
Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer behavior to identify emerging opportunities and challenges.
Utilize market research and data analysis to refine sales strategies, product offerings, and pricing models.

Requirements:
Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the personal care or related manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in closing complex deals with clients of varying sizes and complexities.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including board members.
Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Strategic mindset with a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and customer insights.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and collaborate with remote team members.
