In collaboration with the SVP of Corporate Communications, the candidate will play a hands-on role in both the design and execution of strategic communications programs to enhance knowledge and understanding of GISI across the global enterprise, support collaboration among our operating companies, strengthen CEO communications to employees, foster the employee-ownership culture, and communicate financial and strategic performance to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree.

Minimum 5 7 years of work experience in marketing/communications or financial services industry experience.

Demonstrated expertise in the development of communications strategies in support of reputation, media relations, and thought leadership.

Outstanding written and verbal skills; a strong storyteller.

Experience with digital content creation and the strategic use of social media.

Comfort with and ability to build trust, rapport, and advisory relationships with senior management and leadership.

Strong collaboration skills with ability to work across a large, complex organization to advance business goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Identify issues and opportunities and engage other parts of GISI and its operating companies to ensure alignment, clarity, and accuracy of message while identifying key areas of opportunity where communications can support business objectives.

Partner with operating company communications teams to support the development and implementation of communications strategies in priority markets.

Assist in preparation of communications materials for both internal and external use including CEO communications initiatives, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), regular and special reports to the GISI Board of Directors, Operating Company leadership and other stakeholders.

Design, develop, implement, and manage creative content for digital communications, including but not limited to newsletters, webpages, social media, videos, graphics, presentations.

Facilitate the development of a social media strategy, where applicable, to complement the social media strategy of the operating companies.

Understand and manage the GISI brand and train/coach operating company staff and employees on the use of the brand, as needed.

Manage the development of templates with basic layout design concepts for presentations and conduct research for innovative ideas and concepts.

Ensure cohesive messaging/storytelling.

Support crisis/reactive communications as needed, driving client, media and other stakeholder communications as required.

Work Hours & Location

This position can be based in either our Newport Beach, CA office or New York City. 3 days a week minimum in the office is required.

Compensation

Base Salary: $130,000 to $200,000 DOE

Eligible for discretionary annual bonus and participation in equity program

Outstanding company-paid benefits include healthcare and 401(k) savings
