World Relief seeks an Employment Relations Senior Specialist. This position plays a crucial role within our refugee resettlement agency, focusing on building strong relationships with employers, attending job fairs and related events, and forming partnerships to benefit our clients. This position also involves assisting with special projects, such as job readiness classes. Could have a client case load of up to 50% or more.

Role & Responsibilities

    • This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame.       Employer Networking and Partnerships:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with local employers to create job opportunities for refugees.
    • Attend job fairs, industry events, and networking functions to promote the agency and its clients.
    • Develop partnerships with individuals and organizations that can provide additional support and resources for our clients.

      Client Support and Coordination:
    • Assist in the organization and delivery of job readiness classes and workshops.
    • Coordinate employment-related activities and initiatives within the agency.
    • Provide support to clients in their job search efforts, including resume preparation, interview practice, and job application assistance.

      Special Projects:
    • Participate in special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Employment Department.
    • Conduct research, gather data, and prepare reports to support project objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

      General Duties:
    • Support the Employment Department in daily operations and administrative tasks.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
    • Contribute to team meetings, strategy sessions, and training programs.

      Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure program compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and program documentation.
    • Prepare and submit timely reports to funders, stakeholders, and organizational leadership.
    • Conduct regular audits of client files and program processes to ensure quality and compliance.

      Community Engagement and Partnerships
    • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, employers, service providers, and other stakeholders.
    • Represent World Relief Texas at community meetings, events, and forums.
    • Advocate for the needs and rights of refugees and asylees within the community.

$22 - $24 an hour
