This role requires a strong understanding of financial markets, risk management principles, and the ability to implement effective risk mitigation strategies.

Roles And Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential financial risks across various areas of the organization, including market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk. Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate identified risks and enhance overall risk resilience. Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to assess potential impacts on the organization's risk profile. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, compliance, and operations teams, to integrate risk management practices into business processes and decision-making. Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on risk mitigation strategies, capital allocation, and risk-adjusted return optimization. Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of adverse events on the organization's financial performance and stability. Prepare and present risk management reports, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders, including the board of directors and regulatory authorities. Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and emerging trends in financial risk management, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management strategies. Support the development and implementation of risk management frameworks, tools, and methodologies to enhance the organization's risk management capabilities. Provide training and guidance to employees on risk awareness, control measures, and compliance with risk management policies and procedures.

Skills Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field (Master's degree, CFA, FRM, or similar certifications preferred). Proven experience as a Financial Risk Consultant, Risk Manager, or similar role in financial services, consulting, or corporate environment. Strong knowledge of financial markets, products, and risk management frameworks (e.g., Basel III, Dodd-Frank Act, etc.). Proficiency in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment techniques. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Experience with risk management software and tools (e.g., RiskMetrics, Bloomberg, etc.) is advantageous. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to financial risk management.
