Our Category Insights team is growing at Mark Anthony, and we're looking for a Sr. Manager Category Insights to join us in our Chicago office (hybrid).

Role Purpose:

The Sr. Manager Category Insights is responsible for enhancing the company's understanding of market trends, consumer behaviors, and the competitive landscape. This role is critical for informing strategic decisions, product development, marketing strategies and sales approaches.

Accountabilities & Impact: Market Trend Analysis: Detailed market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the brand landscape. Category Strategy Development: Developing & implementing category strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives to ensure category strategies are effectively executed. Data Management & Analytics: Utilizing various data sources, including retail sales data, consumer research, and market analysis to generate actionable insights. Interpret complex data sets and translate them into clear, strategic recommendations for the business. Competitive Predictive Analysis: Monitoring & analyzing competitors' strategies, market positioning, trends, and sales performance. Conducing SWOT analyses (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) to understand competitive landscape and identify areas where the company can gain competitive advantage. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitoring the performance of the category, including sales performance, market share, and profitability.

In this role you will own: Insight Generation & Analysis of how brands come to life in-market and consumer behaviors, performance tracking, data strategy. Insights presentations and key stakeholder management Category Strategy & Vision: developing & maintaining the strategic direction of the product categories.

Skills & Experiences Needed: 8-10 years' proven category insights experinece in CPG Strong analytical skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups, formulas), PowerPoint, Tableau, and other 3 rd party software (QlikView) Syndicated scan & panel data analysis (Circana, Nielsen, Numerator) Gateway data expert, custom attribution, custom aggregates, turnkey story functionality for end-users. Familiarity & expereince with eCommerce category insights, data, and reporting. Great communication, and cross-functional team player.
