Job Description

***Only qualified Credit Price Risk Business Analyst candidates located near the Buffalo, NY area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

The team directly supports Business unit. Our goal is to establish and maintain a robust 1st Line of Defense control environment and culture to minimize operational risk within the business. Risk and Control is looking for a highly energized individual with knowledge of regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will support the Volcker program and requirements under the rule. The supplier will provide an SME resource with a strong background in the Regulatory space.

Qualifications:

5-8 years of relevant experience working in a front office or operations support environment or in a consulting or project management capacity with a similar remit

Strong financial markets product knowledge across multiple asset classes

Must possess excellent written and communications skills and show comfort interfacing with senior stakeholders across trading desks, product control, legal, and technology

Strong investigation and problem-solving skills

Proactive and ability to work under tight deadline pressures across multiple workstreams concurrently

Sound understanding of the Volcker Rule

Adherence to monthly and quarterly deadlines for certain tasks

Credit Price Risk Business Analyst Responsibilities:

Investigate and resolve Volcker related issues and exceptions by coordinating with trading desks, legal, finance and risk.

Assist with Metrics production, review, and distribution for internal consumption and regulatory reporting

Provide regular management updates and status reports

Participate in monthly reviews of Volcker metrics and reporting within scope desks

Coordination of regulatory narrative whereby commentary is constructed, edited and then reviewed by senior management
