Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
  • Candidates for this role must be an experienced Front Desk Agent. The Front Desk Dual Rate Supervisor is a secondary role that provides coverage on days a Hotel Supervisor is not present on the shift. They are responsible for overall integrity of daily operations, including all aspects of guest service, ensuring effectiveness of the work group, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Due to the nature of the position, the Front Desk Dual Rate Supervisor must be able to manage several tasks at once. They must respond calmly during stressful situations and be able to make rational decisions when handling guest and operational issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • College degree preferred.
  • Must currently hold the position of Front Desk Agent. 2 years experience in a lead or supervisory role in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule and/or rotating shifts with fluctuating days off, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must possess leadership skills. Must be able to work independently.
  • Neat, professional appearance required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook. Working knowledge of Caesars Brand programs and systems.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal. This includes the ability to communicate one-on-one and to groups in a manner that encourages others to support or align with service initiatives, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Internal candidates must meet Harrah's Joliet's Transfer Eligibility Requirements to be considered eligible for this additional job.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES / DUTIES
  • Responsible for the overall integrity of daily operation of the Hotel, ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, and policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates VIP arrivals with Casino Marketing, as well as group arrivals to ensure a flawless check-in.
  • Presents oneself as a credit to the company and encourages others to do the same.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
  • The Dual Rate Supervisor is responsible for Hotel staff including Front Desk Agents, PBX Operators, Wardrobe, and any additional Hotel staff required, based on the leadership schedule. Ensures that all Hotel staff behavior and appearance comply with established policies.
  • Monitors volume to ensure fast, friendly and efficient service.
  • Ensures that customer concerns are handled in an effective, courteous manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of hotel, community and special events in order to accurately provide guests with needed information.
JOB DEMANDS:
  • Ability to maneuver through all areas of the property, both on and off the Casino floor.
  • Physically mobile, with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to lift up to 25lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, grip, stoop and stack.
  • Position requires 90% standing, 10% walking. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (6-8 hours intervals).
  • Requires the ability to respond to speech, touch, smell, aural and visual cues.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact.
