The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and implementing the best ways to promote our products. This role involves overseeing the entire Marketing Department and all aspects of marketing. The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the Purchasing Department and Sales Director to gain product knowledge necessary for effective marketing strategies.
The Marketing Manager will manage and create visual concepts and item photography that inspire, inform, and captivate key customer audiences. This position will oversee layout, production design, and photography for various print collateral, advertisements, digital, video, and other creative communication channels. Incorporate recommended changes and review designs for errors before final design and production. Work within and be innovative around an established style guide to maintain the integrity of the CBI brand.
Duties:
Clearly articulate creative concepts, manage the creation of concepts, complete error review, and deploy deliverables for company social media platforms, website, media channels, digital assets, and print collateral.
Manage photographer and photography studio for best-case item and item use photos based on direction from senior management.
Advise on design strategies, potential new marketing platforms, and help determine messages to best engage existing and new customers.
Ability to manage staff scheduling and deadlines to align with company marketing campaigns and initiative needs.
Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising, and promotional campaigns and activities.
Creation, publication, and implementation of all marketing material in line with marketing and sales plans, including but not limited to social media, sales flyers, show books, catalogs, marketing emails, websites, etc.
Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products.
Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products.
Manage the productivity of the marketing team to ensure plans and projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor, review, and report on the effectiveness of marketing activity and results.
Monitor industry best practices to brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
Responsible for editing, maintaining, and developing the visual content, style, and appearance of the website.
Stay current in marketing trends and news like Google updates and changes in algorithms, Facebook Insights, etc.
Work closely with Sales Manager and collaborate with Marketing Team.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field.
Three years of creative direction experience with direct reports and managing outside vendors.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, Word, email blast software, and ERP software.
Understanding of code languages such as HTML and CSS with some editing capabilities.
Understanding of offset printing for best-case outcome.
Exceptional organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects based on deadline expectations.
Customer-focused with entrepreneurial drive.
Ability to analyze KPI data from platforms like Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
Creative writing skills.
Video creation and editing experience.
Experience with marketing a large volume of items in a business-to-business environment is a plus.
Experience and understanding of the crafting and floral industry are a plus.
Working Conditions:
Office environment, occasional warehouse, and showroom environment. Travel by airplane for trade shows.
Physical Requirements:
Capable of lifting and moving tables, props, and display structures.
