Position Overview:
The Agricultural Economics and Marketing Research Intern will assist with various research initiatives in the College of Agriculture, Community, and Sciences. Working under the guidance of the Associate Research Director's team, the intern will concentrate on the marketing aspects of agricultural products, including but not limited to vegetables, fruits, and seafood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support research efforts and fulfill assigned responsibilities
- Assist in data gathering, conducting surveys, and recording information
- Help assemble aquaculture systems, maintain equipment, manage livestock, and perform other farm-related duties
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum GPA of 2.75
- Availability for at least two hours on two separate days each week
- Access to personal transportation
- Genuine interest in agriculture and food product marketing
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in computer applications
- Strong communication abilities
- Capability to work collaboratively and independently
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and reliability
Physical Requirements:
- Position may require some physical activity and adherence to safety guidelines
