Position Overview:

Seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join the team as the Head of Business Development. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the business expansion efforts, forging strategic partnerships, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem while still playing a hand in the execution side of transactions.

Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential clients in alignment with the firm's investment criteria. Build and nurture relationships with founders, executives, investors, and other industry stakeholders to drive deal flow and enhance the firm's reputation. Lead the negotiation and structuring of financing transactions, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment objectives and risk parameters. Collaborate closely with the investment team to assess market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and optimize investment strategies. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, industry dynamics, and regulatory environment impacting the private credit and venture debt market. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. Proven track record of success in business development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or related fields, with a focus on financial services and technology sectors preferred. Strong understanding of financial markets, capital structures, and investment principles, with the ability to evaluate and structure complex financing transactions. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships and influence key decision-makers. Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities, develop actionable plans, and drive results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Strong leadership qualities with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of excellence. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, creativity, and driving positive change in the startup ecosystem.
