WiTricity is seeking a Senior Firmware Test Engineer as a key team member to develop and maintain infrastructure for embedded software testing for embedded control of WiTricity's Wireless Charging Electric Vehicle Solutions. You will collaborate with firmware test and design engineers to provide support of system test and verification. We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in leading teams and providing mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualified candidates will have a solid understanding of the embedded software development process with demonstrated experience in test. This position will be based at our HQ in Watertown, MA with a hybrid work schedule consisting of a minimum of 3-days per week in office.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain infrastructure for embedded software testing for the functionality of next generation systems. Lead the Firmware Test Engineering team which includes mentoring less experienced team members. Write and conduct tests on new embedded software features and publications. Work collaboratively with firmware team members and team members of other disciplines to integrate, test, and debug system components. Support existing embedded software designs and provide hands-on support of system test and verification. Write test plans, conduct tests, and complete test reports on new embedded software features and publications. Use source control systems in place at WiTricity for the maintenance of the code base and to provide proper revision control and release structure. Provide maintenance, support, and development of version control and source code configuration management. Responsible for software release process and continuous integration. Work collaboratively with firmware team members and team members of other disciplines to integrate, test, and debug system components. Be able to multi-task and independently manage the requirements of several projects in parallel. Ensure that customer requirements are understood, met and applied within the defined scopes and the employee area of work responsibility. Identify product and process special characteristics with compliance to customer- or WiTricity-specified SC and symbols. Provide guidance and awareness to the organization and support with necessary trainings, tools and methodologies. Define needed trainings and awareness program and needs within the team. Use engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including FMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Control Plan (CP) and Project Management. Understand the terms and concepts associated with measurement systems analysis.

Requirements:

BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5-7+ years of post-graduate embedded programming design or test experience. Has the ability and enjoys leading project teams including mentoring less experienced test engineers. Fluent in C/C++, Python, Bash and Batch scripting. Solid knowledge about continuous integration tool chain: Jenkins, Artifactory, Parasoft, Ceedling Test, etc. Strong experience with development tools: Raspberry Pi, Arduino. Proficient with microcontroller IDE design/development tools. Proficient in lab debug, including usage of power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators and in-circuit debuggers. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a positive attitude. Energetically active with a sense of urgency and individual accountability, can work independently, and be a reliable team player. Good knowledge of product hardware and software engineering risk analysis methods with execution (FTA, D/PFMEA, etc.) Knowledge to analyze measurement variation and determine the short-term capability (i.e., gage repeatability & reproducibility) and performance (using control chart) of a measurement system Working knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 Experience to achieve and maintain the integrity and security of an embedded software system over all its lifecycle phases.

Desired Skills:

Proficient with microcontroller IDE design/development tools. Experienced with version control software: SVN, GIT, etc Ability to follow circuit schematics and PCB layout drawings. Understanding of basic communication protocols.
