RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive definition and adoption of standardized procedures, best practices, test strategies and tooling.
- Define and report product quality metrics and maintain QA documentations.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing process improvements and QA efficiency measures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to determine project scope and requirements and contribute to estimation.
- Determine project quality requirements and perform quality planning activities.
- Participate in test planning meetings and providing feedback to the testing team.
- Write, review and execute test plans and test cases.
- Verification of multi-device and cross-platform consistency (how software works on different devices and browsers).
- Direct User Acceptance Testing efforts among product stakeholders.
- Smoke test new environments, merged environments, production pushes as needed.
- Be/become a SME on usage of entire application suite, processes, workflows, etc.
- Train and mentor other QA members.
- Develop and/or research new testing tools and processes to achieve desired QA goals.
- Maintain automated test environment and perform unit, functional, regression and stress testing.
- Follow up with the appropriate channels when issues and defects are found.
- Expert experience and skills in Quality Assurance methodologies, processes, and procedures and able to coach lower-level QAs.
- Proven experience with writing test cases and test scripts and reviewing test scripts of other QA
- Experience in performance, regression, and integration testing.
- Experience in API testing, and web and/or mobile based applications testing.
- Experience in designing test strategies and choosing frameworks & tooling.
- Ability to triage issues efficiently and effectively for multiple projects, prioritize testing of multiple products and projects, work well with different software teams and be able to multi-task QA responsibilities.
- Intermediate knowledge level of SQL and able to write advanced SQL database scripts to validate issues.
- Working knowledge of TestRail or other equivalent QA test case management and documentation tools.
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence, or equivalent project collaboration tools.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Ability to support and manage multiple projects for the teams.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science and/or 8 years of experience in leading and managing QA team activities.
