Knows all safety guidelines and can properly execute emergency protocols.
Completes all accident and incident reports correctly and accurately.
Clean and organize Coors Fitness Center and other facilities in the Ritchie Center.
Promotes a safe, clean, and functional facility.
Handle conflict or stressful situations in a calm professional manner and help provide solutions to situations.
Swipe ID Cards and notify members of any issues with membership/ID card.
Proper phone etiquette and can perform basic phone functions.
Perform all types of transactions: POS, Pass Sales, Activity Sales, Pass Transfers, Pass Cancellations, Refunds, and ensures all paperwork associated is completed properly.
Detailed knowledge of programs and building.
Can use the website for membership sales, transfers, and cancellations.
Troubleshoot basic membership account issues and collect outstanding balances
Understands and can perform all cash handling processes such as deposits, drawer counts, and giving change.
Confident in performing sales, tours, and quoting memberships accurately and properly per guidelines.
Troubleshoot customer-related issues regarding parking and account balances.
Can train other service associates in accordance to all policies and procedures and standards set by the University of Denver Recreation Department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Problem Solving
Customer Service
Communication with a manager and other staff
Required Qualifications:
CPR/FA/AED Certification
Departmental Level 2 Training (can be completed during training)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of fitness & gym equipment
High School diploma & some college experience
This employee will work in an active sports and fitness environment. The stress level is moderate. This employee will be customer-facing. Evening and weekend hours may be required for this position.
Physical Activities:
Moving weights up to 45lbs
Standing for long periods of time
Lifting and moving program materials
Compensation and Benefits:
This position is eligible for a federal work-study, which requires eligibility through the Financial Aid Office.
Students will be paid $18.29-19hr, depending on their level of education and job sophistication,with the opportunity for yearly increases, dependent on performance.
In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
