As the Modeling & Simulation Engineering Fellow , you will participate in unique multi-disciplinary research across integrated product teams consisting of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), Signal Processing and missile-and-sensor-level Performance Simulations. You will develop the road map for high fidelity performance simulations that include multiple sensor channels, scene generation capability, control hardware, physical environment, embedded software, and system performance evaluation including pre-flight prediction, post flight matching, and verification and validation. This is an Onsite role in Tucson, Arizona What You will Do : You will act as a strategic visionary who thinks about where a program or product line is heading or needs to go, while considering the technical aspects of how to get us there and then driving the execution of that strategy across multiple programs You will be a strong advocate for technical integrity of modeling and simulation products across multiple programs and product lines You will be viewed as an expert and serve as a consultant to the organization to help develop technologies to achieve organization growth targets in modeling & simulation, algorithm development, or performance-related studies You will be the technical expert in a team environment on diverse projects, providing solutions to create high fidelity simulations and models for missile system design, performance assessment, flight test support, trade studies and evaluations You will work alone, or through oversight of teams, to solve the hardest Modeling and Simulation obstacles You will oversee a technical team, mentor engineers, and/or manage an engineering project Qualifications You Must Have : Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and twelve (12) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas: Experience designing and performing analysis of high fidelity performance simulations Experience using tools for evaluation of data sets Programming in C++, C, or other high order language Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations Experience providing Engineering expertise to previous programs Experience participating in project design reviews and/or peer reviews Experience preparing/delivering technical briefings to internal stakeholders and external customers Must be the author of intellectual property (patent disclosures) and conference/journal publications in a modeling and simulation technical areas within the past ten (10) years The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
