Position Summary

AECOM is seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Water/Wastewater Hydraulic Modeling Engineer/Project Manager within our Colorado water, wastewater, and conveyance division. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in civil or environmental engineering, particularly in hydraulic analysis of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Mentor and guide staff in conducting hydraulic computations and modeling of water and wastewater systems using specialized software.
- Manage hydraulic modeling and planning projects, ensuring compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop calibrated hydraulic models to simulate system performance under various scenarios.
- Analyze modeling results to provide insights into system behavior and identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate modeling insights into project design and planning.
- Utilize software tools such as InfoWater, InfoSewer, WaterGEMS, and others for hydraulic analysis.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to water and wastewater modeling.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater hydraulic analysis and computer modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leading modeling projects and mentoring junior staff.
- Proficiency in multiple hydraulic modeling software platforms.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic principles and water/wastewater systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication abilities.
