What You'll Do::

Manages various accounting functions including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue entry and asset accounting, as well as associated analysis and reporting across both Meridian and Blue Ridge. Responsibilities include:

  • Manages the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Responsible for Month-end Close and Year End Close checklists
  • Monitors accounting data for financial reports or statements
  • Prepares Financial Statements for both companies and management reports.
  • Establishes and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Assigned projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensure that fiscal files and records are maintained to document transactions.
  • Completes projects as assigned by the CFO, ACFO or Director of Finance.
  • Ensures policies are communicated and administered consistently.
  • Maintains knowledge of and complies with established policies and procedures including government and grantor regulations.


What We're Looking For::
  • Bachelors degree in accounting required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of Finance and Accounting.
  • Knowledge of health care and behavioral health services
  • Knowledge of computer accounting programs, spreadsheets and applications
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with other employees, patients, organizations, and the public.
  • Skill in written and verbal communication
