Senior Accounting Associate at Crisler CPA, PLLC

Crisler CPA, PLLC, a well-regarded tax and accounting firm, is in search of a dedicated and skilled Senior Accounting Associate. This position initially requires on-site presence, with the potential for remote work flexibility after a designated onboarding period.

Role Overview

In the capacity of a Senior Accounting Associate, you will primarily focus on overseeing accounting operations for both corporate entities and nonprofit organizations. Your responsibilities will include supervising junior staff, managing diverse engagements, and actively contributing to the enhancement of our operational processes.

Effective communication with clients is crucial, making exceptional client service skills a necessity. You will also have the chance to recognize and implement new service offerings for our clientele. Your direct supervisor will be the Client Accounting Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the collection of client information and coordinate tasks with the accounting team.
  • Monitor engagement progress, maintain regular communication with clients and supervisors, and provide updates on services rendered.
  • Organize and participate in client meetings, gather essential information for accounting services, and manage client accounts proficiently.
  • Oversee client payroll processing, assist with tax obligations, and prepare various tax documentation.
  • Record financial transactions, maintain accounting ledgers, reconcile accounts, and support the preparation of financial statements.
  • Generate annual information returns, make independent accounting judgments, and consistently produce high-quality work.
  • Manage time efficiently, assist in pricing services, and engage in advisory accounting services.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; CPA license or eligibility is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience is essential.
  • Previous experience in a CPA firm is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (both Desktop and Online) and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, analytical capabilities, and the ability to provide sound advice to teams and clients are necessary.
