Maintain effective communication with clients, engineers of other disciplines, contractors, and other project team members. • Identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a proactive manner. • Build and foster relationships with potential new clients. • Provide technical expertise to staff and clients. • Help maintain our 95% referral rate and high contract performance ratings Qualifications: • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, preferably Fire Protection. • 10 to 20 years of experience in design and construction administration of fire alarm and fire suppression systems and life safety. • Experience with field surveys, code analyses, calculations, equipment selections, and specifications. • Strong communicator with skillset to supervise junior engineers and CAD operators as they develop contract drawings. • Self-starter with a passion for problem solving. • Professional Engineer license. • Proficient in either AutoCAD or Revit. • Proficient Microsoft Office applications • Ability to conduct day-long field surveys outdoors and indoors in conditioned and unconditioned spaces, including walking up to 10-20k steps in a day, climbing up and down a 6-foot ladder, kneeling, squatting, and bending. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent planning and organizational skills. • Strong desire to motivate, mentor, and manage the work of others supporting your projects, with emphasis on employee growth, project success, and overall performance. • Ability to obtain site access at client locations. • Ability to travel up to 10 nights in a year, in addition to day-long field surveys.
