About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to join our renowned design team at Tetra Tech's High Performance Buildings Group. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to apply your design and expertise on exciting and challenging projects.

You will work with some of the top engineers in the field, gaining additional expertise and building your reputation and career. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-end, sustainable building consulting and MEP engineering services for blue-chip clients across every building sector.

As a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for designing plumbing and fire protection systems, including calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer and storm loads, while adhering to the firm's QA/QC process. You will also be working with AutoCAD and/or Revit software to incorporate design changes.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare deliverables and products, including calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Design plumbing and fire protection systems, including calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer and storm loads
  • Incorporate design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit software
Requirements
  • Proficient with the use of AutoCAD; Revit knowledge preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
