Job Description

At Pkaza, we are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our MEP design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing plumbing and fire protection systems for mission-critical facilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability of our clients' data centers and other critical facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop plumbing and fire protection systems for mission-critical facilities, including trade floors, labs, control rooms, data centers, and other critical areas.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines to achieve successful, functional, and innovative designs for our clients.
  • Work with clients to gather design requirements and translate them into internal design team updates.
  • Perform field surveys to document existing conditions and observe construction activities.
  • Develop and document plumbing and fire protection drawings and specifications.
  • Participate in client project requirement meetings and value analysis.
  • Conduct QA/QC and quality assurance on project.
  • Develop and maintain standards and specifications for plumbing and fire protection.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, or Plumbing Engineering.
  • Previous experience at an engineering consulting MEP firm is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
  • Mission Critical Facilities experience is a huge plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in plumbing design and fire protection systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge in fire protection and plumbing.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • A sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Strong computer skills and skilled in software typically used in plumbing/fire protection design.
  • Strong working knowledge of building, plumbing, and fire codes.
  • Strong communication skills, excellent written and verbal.
  • Revit experience is a must.
  • Ability to interface with clients.
