ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Loan Documentation:

Loan Documentation Specialist I:

  • Prepare consumer, commercial, letters of credit, and commercial real estate loans ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare changes to original loan documents, including rate modifications, maturity date extensions, and other changes in terms.
  • Complete all required loan documentation including UCC, flood hazard determination, loan checklist, etc.
  • Knowledge of borrowing entities and documents required for verification.
  • Utilize loan documentation and loan origination software, including LaserPro, Encompass, Abrigo, and FIS or similar.
  • Draft and review 20+ loan documentation packages per month from the pipeline while maintaining a high level of accuracy, consistency, and quality control.
Loan Documentation Specialist II (in addition to the duties listed for Loan Doc Specialist I above):
  • Prepare consumer, commercial, letters of credit, commercial real estate, construction, SBA and other complex loans ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit escrow instructions to title companies ensuring proper execution.
  • Prepare changes to original loan documents including rate modifications, change in terms, amendments, assumptions, etc.
  • Prepare documentation for re-amortizing complex payment restructures.
  • Complete all required loan documentation including UCC, flood hazard determination, loan checklist, etc.
  • Verification of borrowing entities and documents required for verification.
  • Draft and review 30+ loan documentation packages per month from the pipeline while maintaining a high level of accuracy, consistency, and quality control.
Quality Control:
  • Analyze loan files for all required due diligence, including legal documentation, to ensure completeness prior to loan document preparation.
  • Coordinate with loan officers, management, third parties and customers to obtain required due diligence.
  • Provide final quality control of loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Non-Essential Duties:
  • Special projects, research and other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

Loan Documentation Specialist I: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and a minimum of two years' experience in loan documentation for consumer, commercial, and commercial real estate product lines.

Loan Documentation Specialist II: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and five years' experience in loan documentation including consumer, commercial, SBA, construction and commercial real estate product lines.

Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Loan Documentation Specialist I:
  • Basic knowledge of commercial, letters of credit, real estate and consumer loan documentation methods and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of loan documentation regulatory compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of lien perfection requirements for all loan types.
  • Basic experience with loan documentation and loan origination software, including LaserPro, Encompass, Abrigo and FIS, or similar.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Loan Documentation Specialist II:
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial, construction, commercial real estate, consumer and other complex loan documentation methods and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of SBA lending documentation regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of loan documentation regulatory compliance.
  • Thorough knowledge of lien perfection requirements for all loan types.
  • Thorough knowledge of different types of borrowing entities and documents required for verification.
  • Proficient experience with loan documentation and loan origination software, including LaserPro, Encompass, Abrigo and FIS, or similar.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word review and compare functions, Excel and PowerPoint.


Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Indoor office work environment with a majority of time sitting at a desk.

Compensation: The hiring range for this position is to $25.00 to $37.00 per hour. The compensation offered will fall within this range, commensurate with the candidate's applicable experience, education and skills.
