Job Overview

The Construction Servicing Specialist is responsible for executing a variety of tasks related to the management of construction loans. This role involves close collaboration with construction servicing personnel, loan officers, and external construction management firms to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain preliminary notices and disbursement logs.
  • Verify updated contractor details, including liability and workers' compensation insurance, as well as business licenses.
  • Collect and review construction documentation for cost assessments.
  • Monitor the general ledger for inspection and draw fees, ensuring accurate fund management.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of interest reserve logs to ensure timely interest payments and resolve discrepancies with Loan Help.
  • Digitally archive approved and funded draw packages.
  • Assess completed draw packages and finalize files.
  • Confirm that closed loan disbursement packages are complete and that final draw totals align with financial records.
  • In the absence of the appraisal coordinator, manage the ordering and review processes for appraisal reports.
  • Assist in processing draw requests.
  • Commit to a minimum of 10 hours of community service annually, typically scheduled during business hours, with reimbursement for mileage.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in banking, preferably within Loan Operations or Servicing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Basic accounting knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications for Specialist II:

  • Experience in construction servicing or a related field is required.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Loan Operations or Servicing is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Basic accounting skills are required.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports, budgets, and timelines.
  • Intermediate skills in follow-up and monitoring.
  • Professional handling of challenging situations.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Work Environment:

This position requires frequent data entry, communication, and the operation of standard office equipment. The work environment is generally quiet to moderately noisy, allowing for mobility within a non-confined office space.
