Position Description: As a Regional Sales Manager for our Farm Credit Express (FCE) team, you will lead and train local Association FCE Relationship Managers, build and maintain dealership relationships, identify new marketing opportunities, and develop programs to capture new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and coaching to the Association's FCE Relationship Managers to strengthen dealer networks.
- Maintain relationships with dealer customers throughout the district through collaborative joint calls with Association FCE Relationship Managers.
- Recommend programs and pricing to keep FCE competitive in the marketplace while maintaining minimal risk and maximum margins.
- Monitor activities of FCE Relationship managers and provide feedback to local Association management.
- In conjunction with other FCE management, provide ongoing customer service to participating associations and participate in program-level communication.
- Maintain knowledge of the agricultural equipment industry and competitors, providing an annual analysis of both for the FCE Business Plan.
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, or Finance.
- Generally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales or lending environment is required.
- Proficient interpersonal relations, organization, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency and familiarity with financial databases and spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to employ diplomacy and tact with customers and prospects while articulating the benefits of Farm Credit.
- Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment. Demonstrates initiative and creativity.
- Agricultural background with related practical experience preferred.
- Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.
- Ability to travel overnight independently as required throughout the year to meet with assigned Associations and periodically ride along with the Association's Regional Managers to meet with current and prospective dealers.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is required.
